In a statement personally issued by him in Owerri on Sunday, Ohakim described the late Tukur as a “resilient politician and administrator who served the nation with dedication and honesty” .

Dr Ohakim further stated that the late former governor of the defunct Gongola state was ” a disciplinarian who believed that party supremacy and not be personal idiosyncrasies of political actors, should be the guiding principle in partisan politics”

He prayed God Almighty to grant the soul of the late former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party eternal rest and his family, together with the entire people of Adamawa state, the fortitude to bear the loss.

RURAL ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE:NEED FOR AN IMPROVEMENT

ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT ESPECIALLY AT THE RURAL AREAS

A PASSIONATE APPEAL HAS BEEN MADE TO IMO STATE GOVERNMENT CONCERNING THE DELIPATED AND DETERIORATED ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE ESPECIALLY AT THE RURAL AREA

BRIGHT ONYEKA NNANNA, MADE THIS APPEAL AT HIS HOMETOWN IN MBIERI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA WHERE HE STATED THAT POLICY OF GOVERNMENT ARE MERE PAPER WORK,NO IMPLEMENTATION AND NOT GETTING TO FORTY PERCENT

ACCORDING TO HIM , THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD HAVE IN MIND THAT THEY ARE REPRESENTING THE PEOPLE AND SO IT MUST COUNT AND NOT TO BE IN VAGUE

THERE IS NO MOTORABLE ROAD IN THE RURAL AREAS,VILLAGERS CANNOT AFFORD THE PRICE OF TRANSPORTATION FARE AS MOTORIST HIKE THE FARE DUE TO DELIPATED INFRASTRUCTURE

BRIGHT NNANNA NEEDS THE GOVERNMENT TO TACKLE THE ISSUES OF THE BAD ROAD AND NOT TO LEAVE IT WITH THE CONTRACTOR

HE EQUALLY CALL FOR ASSISTANCE FOR THE PEOPLE OF MBIERI

AS ENHANCED INFRASTRUCTURE WILL ATTRACT OPPORTUNITIES FOR A MORE ROBUST EMPLOYMENT..

SOME OF THE RURAL DWELLERS SAID THE ISSUE OF MOTORABLE ROAD IS ONE TOO MANY AS THEY FIND IT DIFFICULT TO COMMUTE TO AND FRO AND AS SUCH HAS HINDERED THEIR DAILY ACTIVITIES.

BRIGHT HOWEVER COMMEND IMO STATE GOVERNMENT ON THE FEAT AS IT CONCERNS INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE URBAN AREAS AND HOPE THE SAME WILL BE REPLICATED IN RURAL AREAS.
