LUX MUNDI UNIVERSITY FASHIONED FOR EXCELLENCE – PRO-CHANCELLOR
– First Private University in Umuahia Recognised by NUC
The Founder and Pro-Chancellor of Lux Mundi University, Umuahia, Prof. Gabriel Okenwa, reveals that the ivory tower is fashioned to produce top-notch graduates who would be academically alert, morally sound and self reliance.
Prof Okenwa revealed this during the dedication of the institution to God at Ndagbor Isiama Afaraukwu Ibeku in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State.
The Founder of the University, Prof Gabriel Okenwa also noted that he was spurred to invest in education because of his indelible legacies of honesty, dedication, transparency and hard work in the banking industry.
He further noted that the citadel of learning was the first private University in Umuahia to be recognised by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
While revealing that academic activities have commenced in the Law, Arts and Social Sciences faculties Prof Okenwa gave an assurance that the tertiary institution in partnership with foreign investors would graduate employers of labour to redefine the time.
The tertiary institution was dedicated to God by the Methodist Archbishop of Umuahia, the Most Rev Dr Raphael Opoko with a commendable note to Pro-Chancellor for making such a huge investment towards development.
